Introducing a Horse Racing Track in Japan!

千葉県船橋市にある、**中山競馬場**をレポートします！

Today, I’m sharing a report from Nakayama Racecourse in Chiba, Japan!

Entrance 

入り口は、レースがある日は¥200。15歳未満は無料です！

Entrance fee is ¥200 on race days, and it’s free for kids under 15.

券売機で入場券を買います。今回は南門から入ります。

You can buy tickets from a vending machine. This time, we entered through the South Gate.

Food

南門を入ってすぐ右手に「京樽」というお弁当屋さんがあります。からあげ弁当やお寿司、アルコールも販売しています。12時頃にはすでに売り切れているお弁当もありました。

Right after entering the South Gate, there’s a bento shop called 京樽. They sell fried chicken bento, sushi, and even alcohol. Some lunch boxes were already sold out by around noon.

室内にはコンビニや広いフードコートがいくつかあります。今回は地下のフードコートで軽食を購入しました。うどん、そば、カレー、パスタ、牛丼など、なんでもあります！

Inside, there are convenience stores and several large food courts. This time, we grabbed some snacks at the underground food court. You can find everything—udon, soba, curry, pasta, and beef bowls!

Kids Area

子どもたちがぐずってきたので、遊べるエリアへ移動しました。

When the kids started getting restless, we moved to the kids’ play area.

馬キッズパーク / Horse Kids Park

生後6か月から12歳まで遊べる室内パークです。事前に競馬場アプリでイベント参加券を取得する必要がありますが、今回はゲットできませんでした…。

This indoor play area is for kids from 6 months to 12 years old. You need to reserve a spot through the racecourse app in advance, but unfortunately, we couldn’t get tickets this time.

アスレチック / Outdoor Playground

競馬場とは思えないほど、たくさんのアスレチックがあります！とても広くて綺麗で、レースがある日は遊びながら馬が走る姿を見ることもできます。晴れた日はピクニック気分でご飯を食べるのもおすすめです🥰

There are so many playground structures—you wouldn’t believe this is a racecourse! It’s spacious and clean, and on race days you can even watch the horses while the kids play. On sunny days, it’s perfect for a picnic 🥰

食事エリア / Dining Area

小上がりになっていて、赤ちゃん連れでも安心して利用できます。ママも少し楽にご飯が食べられるのが嬉しいポイント！近くには無料のお茶と水のサービスもあります。

There’s a raised seating area where even families with babies can relax comfortably. It’s a nice spot for moms to enjoy a meal too. There’s also free tea and water available nearby.

実際にレースにかけてみました！

結果は…全然当たりませんでした！（笑）

でも、間近で見る馬の迫力は本当にすごくて、とてもかっこよかったです！

We actually placed some bets!

The result… we didn’t win at all 😂

But seeing the horses run up close was incredibly powerful and so cool!
