Introducing a classic Japanese home-cooked dish that’s always a family favorite!

🥢 What You’ll Need

✔ Potatoes 🥔

✔ Carrots 🥕

✔ Pork 🐷 (beef is also fine!)

✔ Onion 🧅

✔ Soy sauce

✔ Sugar

✔ Sake

✔ Mirin

✔ Miso

⚠️ As always, I just eyeball the measurements! 😂 If you want exact amounts, let me know in the comments!

👩‍🍳 How to Make It

1️⃣ Cut the veggies into bite-sized pieces.

2️⃣ Stir-fry the meat and veggies in a pot.

3️⃣ Once the onions become soft, add water.

→ Since I was making miso soup at the same time, I added a little dashi from the miso soup instead! 😆

4️⃣ Add sugar, soy sauce, sake, and mirin, then cover with a drop lid (otoshibuta) and let it simmer.

5️⃣ After about 10 minutes, turn off the heat and mix in a little miso.

6️⃣ Before serving, heat it up one more time—and it’s ready!

🍲 Miso Soup

I had leftover tofu, so I made miso soup with tofu and fried tofu (aburaage).

 

🥦 Broccoli Salad

I just blanched some frozen broccoli and drizzled it with a delicious Costco dressing I recently found! 😍

 

 

🐟 Miso-Simmered Mackerel (Saba no Misoni)

Just heated it up in hot water—super easy!

I wasn’t feeling 100% today, so this was a quick and easy dinner. But hey, we all have days like that, right? 😊

今夜の夕飯

日本の家庭料理の大定番を紹介します!

先日、叔母の畑でとったじゃがいもも使って肉じゃがを作っていきます!

用意するもの

・じゃがいも

・にんじん

・豚肉

・玉ねぎ

・醤油

・砂糖

・酒

・みりん

・味噌

※いつもながら、今日も目分量です!細かく知りたい方は、コメントで!

 

作っていきます!

①野菜を一口大に切る

②肉、切った野菜を鍋で炒め合わせる

③玉ねぎがしんなりしたら、水を入れる。

けど、今日は同時進行でお味噌汁を作っていたので、お味噌汁の出汁を少し入れる

④砂糖、醤油、酒、みりんも入れて、落とし蓋をして煮詰める

⑤10分ほど経ったら、火を消し、少しだけ味噌を入れる

⑥食べる前にもう一度火を入れて、完成!

ぶっ込み味噌汁

最近コストコで見つけた美味しいドレッシングをかけただけ!
