日本の幼稚園の様子の一部を紹介します♪

お絵描き授業 / Drawing Time

幼稚園では、大きな紙に1人一枚ずつ絵を描きます。

Each child draws a picture on a large sheet of paper. It’s their personal art time to express creativity freely.

絵手紙 / Picture Letters (Etegami)

行事が終わったあとに、「何が楽しかった？」「家族とどんなことをした？」と問いかけて、感じたことを絵と一言で表現します。

After events, children are asked questions like “What was fun?” or “What did you do with your family?” and then draw and write about their experiences.

描いた絵手紙は家に持ち帰ってきて、その日の出来事を話してくれます。

They bring the picture letters home and talk about what happened at kindergarten.

子どもが描いた絵には「上手・下手」や「間違い」はありません。注文や書き直しをさせず、素直な表現を大切にします。

Important: Never judge or correct their drawings. There is no right or wrong—just their honest expression.

 

おだてるよりも、共感してあげるのが大事です！

Instead of praising excessively, show empathy and understanding.

泥遊び / Muddy Play

全身が泥まみれになっても怒られない！子どもたちに大人気の活動です。

Kids are allowed to get completely covered in mud—no scolding! It’s one of their favorite activities.

期間中、お母さんたちは泥だらけの服の洗濯が大変ですが…😂

Yes, it’s tough for moms who have to wash all the muddy clothes every day… 😂

家ではなかなかできない泥遊びを、幼稚園で思いっきり体験できるのは、親御さんからも好評です。

But parents appreciate this opportunity since muddy play is hard to do at home.

塗りたぐり遊び / Full-Body Painting Play

3色の絵の具を使い、段ボールなどに筆で自由に色を塗っていきます。

Children use three colors of paint and brushes to color cardboard and other surfaces.

顔や体につく感覚、色を混ぜたときの変化を感じながら、五感を使って全身で楽しむ遊びです。

They use all five senses—feeling the paint on their skin, watching the colors mix, and enjoying the process with their whole bodies.

先生たちも一緒に参加するから、子どもたちも嬉しそう！

Teachers join in too, making the experience even more fun for the kids!

誕生日会 / Monthly Birthday Celebration

毎月1回、その月に誕生日を迎える子をみんなでお祝いします。

Once a month, the whole kindergarten gathers to celebrate the birthdays of that month.

好きな食べ物や将来の夢をインタビュー形式で答えます。

They answer questions like “What’s your favorite food?” or “What do you want to be in the future?”

恥ずかしがりながらも、みんなの前で自分のことを話す姿は立派です。

Even if they’re shy, they bravely speak in front of everyone—it’s so admirable.

クラスごとにその月の歌を歌い、最後には先生たちの出し物もあります！

Each class sings the “song of the month”, and at the end, the teachers put on a fun performance!

その日のお昼ご飯は、誕生日の子と保護者が一緒に給食を食べられる特別な日です。

Birthday kids get to eat lunch with their visiting parent—it’s a special and heartwarming moment.

親御さんにとっても、園生活をのぞける楽しい1日になります😊

It’s a wonderful day for parents to get a glimpse of their child’s school life.

工作（クラフト活動）/ Craft Time

段ボールや空き容器を使って、お店や家などを制作します。

Children create shops, houses, and more using cardboard and recycled containers.

卵のパックやトイレットペーパーの芯など、家庭から材料を持ち寄ります。

Parents send in materials like egg cartons and toilet paper rolls from home.

想像をふくらませて形にしたり、みんなで協力して作る経験を通して、社会でも大切な力を育みます。

Through imagining, building, and working together, kids develop important life and social skills.
