Do you know about Shiso?🌿

Shiso (Also called perilla leaf in English) is a popular herb in Japanese cooking. It’s related to mint and has a refreshing, slightly tangy flavor with a unique aroma. Not only does it add color and flavor to dishes, but it’s also great for wrapping ingredients!

you can use Shiso in pasta, Hamburg steaks, cold somen noodles..

and today, we’re rolling it up with pork and cheese! Let’s get started!

 

Recipe: Pork Rolls with Shiso and Cheese

Ingredients:

• Shiso leaves (also known as perilla)

• Thinly sliced pork

• Cheese

• Soy sauce

• Potato starch (katakuriko)

• Sugar

Instructions:

1. Lay out a slice of pork and place a shiso leaf and a piece of cheese on top.

2. Sprinkle potato starch over the pork and roll it up tightly.

3. Repeat the process with the remaining ingredients.

4. In a heated pan, cook the rolls until they’re thoroughly cooked and golden brown.

5. Once browned, add soy sauce and sugar to the pan, coating the rolls evenly.

Shiso leaves are not only delicious but also rich in vitamins and minerals. If you have the chance to try Japanese cuisine, don’t miss out on this versatile herb!

 

大葉の豚肉チーズ巻き

今夜のおかず、大葉の豚肉チーズ巻きの作り方を紹介します。

日本の大葉

大葉(おおば)は、英語で「Shiso leaf(シソの葉)」と呼ばれる、日本の料理でよく使われるハーブの一種です。ミントの仲間であり、独特な香りと、少し酸味のあるさっぱりとした味わいが特徴です。大葉は、料理の彩りや風味付け、さらには食材を包むためにも使われます。パスタ、ハンバーグやそうめんなど!今回はその大葉を巻いて食べます!

豚肉チーズ巻きレシピ

材料

大葉

豚肉

チーズ

醤油

片栗粉

砂糖

作り方

1.豚肉を広げて、その上に大葉、チーズを乗せる

2.片栗粉をまぶしながら、丸めていく

3.ひたすら繰り返す

4.火が通るまで焼く

5.焼き色がついたら、醤油と砂糖を入れて完成!
