Japan’s professional baseball is divided into two leagues: the Central League and the Pacific League.
Did you know that Shohei Ohtani, the global baseball sensation, used to play in Japan about seven years ago? His team was part of the Pacific League!
This time, let’s dive into one of the exciting teams in the Pacific League—the Chiba Lotte Marines—and their home games!

Based in Chiba Prefecture, the Chiba Lotte Marines have a strong legacy in Japanese baseball.
Until 2024, Roki Sasaki, who recently signed a minor league contract with the Los Angeles Dodgers, played for this team.
One of the best things about the Marines? Their fan support is legendary! Their cheers are incredibly loud and energetic, with fans jumping in unison while singing their famous fight songs.

Watching a game at ZOZO Marine Stadium is an unforgettable experience! The energy in the stadium is electric, especially when Roki Sasaki takes the mound—every pitch sends the crowd into a frenzy!

The stadium also hosts special events for children, including opportunities to step onto the field. I recently applied for this event, and if I get selected, I’ll be sure to share my experience with you all!

The stadium is packed with food stalls and souvenir shops, making it a place where you can have fun even beyond game time!
2025 Tokyo Series: A Baseball Festival!
In March 2025, baseball superstars Shohei Ohtani, Yoshinobu Yamamoto, and Roki Sasakiwill be back in Japan for the Tokyo Series!
Unfortunately, I won’t be able to attend in person, but I’ll be cheering from home! 🎉
Japan is already buzzing with excitement, with Tokyo Series merchandise popping up everywhere—it’s like a baseball festival!

千葉ロッテマリーンズ
全く野球を知らない私、最近知りました！
日本のプロ野球には、セントラルリーグとパシフィックリーグの2つのリーグがあります。
あの、有名な大谷翔平選手が7年ほど前まで日本でプレーしていたチームがあるのは、パシフィックリーグです！
今回はパシフィックリーグの一つのチーム、“Chiba Lotte Marines”の試合のホーム試合を応援しに行ってきました。
リーグ優勝は5度あり、日本一も4回ある、千葉県のチーム。
先日ロサンジェルスドジャースとマイナー契約を結んだ佐々木朗希選手が2024年まで在籍していたチームです。
ロッテの応援は1番！と言われているほど声量や活気があります。応援歌を歌いながら、ぴょんぴょん跳ねるのが有名です。
今回はソフトバンク戦でした！
実際にスタジアムに行き、応援するとやはり活気があります。
佐々木朗希が先発！投げる度にスタジアムが湧いていました！
子どものイベントもあり、実際にフィールドに実際に降りることもできます！今年、こちらに応募しました。当たれば、その様子もみなさんにシェアしようと思います！
スタジアムのフードやお土産屋さんもあり、試合時間だけじゃ楽しみきれないほどでした！

パシフィックリーグは、全6チームあります。

小さい頃は、なんでお父さんはずっと野球見てるんだろう。なにが面白いんだろうって思っていたけど、実際に応援しに行くととっても興奮し、楽しかったです！
2025 TOKYO series
2025年3月、あの大谷翔平選手、山本選手、佐々木朗希選手が帰ってきます！
実際には行けませんが、お家で応援しようと思います！！
日本ではそこらじゅうで、TOKYO シリーズのTシャツ等のグッズを販売する等、お祭り騒ぎです！
