親子丼の作り方 – How to Make Oyakodon (Chicken & Egg Rice Bowl)

親子丼は、日本の家庭料理の定番で、鶏肉と卵を使った優しい味わいの丼ぶりです。

Oyakodon is a classic Japanese comfort food made with tender chicken, fluffy eggs, and sweet-savory sauce served over a bowl of rice. The name “oyako” (parent and child) comes from using both chicken and egg!

🛒 材料 / Ingredients

 

  • 卵 / Eggs
  • 鶏肉(今回は胸肉。もも肉の方がジューシーに仕上がります)
    Chicken breast (or thigh for a juicier version)
  • 玉ねぎ / Onion
  • 醤油 / Soy sauce
  • 酒 / Sake
  • みりん / Mirin
  • 砂糖 / Sugar
  • 水 / Water
  • ご飯 / Cooked white rice

👩‍🍳 作り方 / Instructions

玉ねぎをスライスします。
Slice the onion thinly.

フライパンに少し油をひき、玉ねぎを炒めます。
Heat a little oil in a pan and sauté the onion.

玉ねぎがしんなりしてきたら、鶏肉を加えます。
Once the onions soften, add the chicken.

鶏肉に火が通ったら、砂糖、みりん、酒、醤油、水を加えます。
When the chicken is cooked through, add sugar, mirin, sake, soy sauce, and water.

煮立ってきたら、卵を回し入れます。
Once it starts to simmer, gently pour in the beaten eggs.

 ポイント!卵は2回に分けて入れるとふんわり仕上がります。

 Tip: For a fluffier texture, add the eggs in two stages.

丼にご飯をよそい、上に具を乗せて完成!
Serve it over a bowl of hot rice – and it’s ready to enjoy!

🥒 付け合わせ:きゅうりの浅漬け / Quick Pickled Cucumbers

さっぱりとした箸休めにぴったりな簡単副菜です。

A refreshing and easy side dish to pair with your oyakodon.

材料 / Ingredients

  • きゅうり / Cucumber
  • 塩昆布 / Shio-kombu (salted kelp)
  • 浅漬けの素 / Pickling base or light vinegar dressing

作り方 / Instructions

きゅうりを一口大にカットします。
Cut the cucumber into bite-size pieces.

袋にきゅうり、塩昆布、浅漬けの素を入れます。
Put the cucumber, shio-kombu, and pickling base into a plastic bag.

30分ほど置いたら完成!
Let it sit for about 30 minutes – and it’s ready!
